The Fox Chase Cancer Center's mobile mammography van will be on campus Monday, April 18th to conduct mammography screenings for women age 40 and above. The mammography van will be parked on Spring Garden Street directly in front of the Mint Building. The screening only takes 20 minutes and appointments start at 9 AM with the last appointment at 1:40 PM. The van offers the newest and accredited all digital mammography equipment. There is no cost and no co-pay if you have Independence Blue Cross (Keystone or Personal Choice) medical insurance. Employees will need to obtain a prescription from their physician. Women who have not used Fox Chase for mammography before will need to sign a form to release previous films to have them sent to Fox Chase. Remember, breast cancer can strike any woman. Finding it early gives you the best chance for a cure. A mammogram can detect early breast cancer up to two years before you or a health professional can feel it.
Schedule your appointment by April 8th by contacting Elisabeth Mead at emead@ccp.edu or extension 8365
