Application Deadlines
Fall Semester: July 1
Spring Semester: Nov. 1
Step 2 - Submit Application Documents
International applications that need an I-20 to apply for or maintain F-1 status should upload all of the following documents and satisfy placement in order to be considered for admission to the College. Application documents are ONLY accepted via the online application portal. An application is not considered complete until all of the items listed below, including placement testing, are submitted:
- High School Record: OFFICIAL* secondary school (high school) completion/graduation certificate or diploma or official academic record showing completion/graduation date. All documents must be translated into English. For certain educational systems, qualifying exam scores will be accepted in place of a diploma (ex. WAEC and GCSE).
- "Affidavit of Support" Form: This must be signed by you and all financial sponsors. Please note that the name on the bank statement and the name on the Affidavit of Support form must match. If the bank statement is in your name, then this form is not necessary.
- Financial Documents: A recent bank statement or letter on bank letterhead (translated into English) and demonstrating a minimum amount of $28,114 USD. The bank statement must be less than six months old. Bank statements are accepted in all currencies but must be written or translated into English.
- A signed "Acknowledgment of F-1 Rules and Responsibilities"
- A copy of your passport photo page.
- If you are already in the United States, please include:
- Copy of current visa
- I-94 card/record
- Copy of current I-20 (if you have studied as an F-1 student at another school)
OPTIONAL:
- OFFICIAL transcripts from a previously attended college or university
- Foreign transcripts must first be evaluated by a NACES approved credential evaluation service (WES, ECE)
Step 3 - Satisfy Placement in English and Math
Students must satisfy placement as part of the admission process and applications will be considered incomplete until placement is met. Students can satisfy placement in one of the following ways:
1. Receive a Test Waiver:
- Submit TOEFL/SAT/IELTS/ACT test results (Minimum score requirements found here)
- Submit an official transcript from a U.S. High School or an accredited U.S. college or university (GPA/Grade requirements can be found here)
2. Take the ACCUPLACER Placement Test through our Assessment Center (on-campus and remote testing available)
- Read and complete the placement test form to be setup with a test via the Assessment Center (continue to monitor your email - including junk/spam - for your ACCUPLACER testing instructions). Practice tests are available via the ACCUPLACER site.
Placement is required before an acceptance letter or I-20 can be issued and should be done prior to arriving in the United States.
Make sure you have completed all materials with the help of the International Student application checklist.
How to Submit Your Application Documents
After submitting your online application, you will receive an email with your student ID number and instructions. All documents must be uploaded via the online application portal. Please make each document type one file (i.e. if you have 5 separate pages of bank statements, combine them into one PDF to upload. If you have a transcript and diploma, combine them into one PDF before uploading.) Any documents submitted via email cannot be reviewed.
Processing Time
Once the review period begins, complete applications are typically processed in 1 to 2 weeks. All applicants will be notified by email and via the application portal regarding the status of their application.
If you have any questions, please contact the ISS Office via email at international [at] ccp.edu (international[at]ccp[dot]edu) or call 1.215.751.8863.
