Presented by Parx Casino®, the Black & Gold Gala is the College Foundation’s signature fundraising event designed to support student scholarships 

PHILADELPHIA – Community College of Philadelphia Foundation will host its annual Black & Gold Gala at 6 p.m.Wednesday, June 1, at Vie by Cescaphe, 600 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130. The gala is the College Foundation’s signature fundraising event. Since 2018, the event has raised more than $1 million to support student scholarships.  

The presenting sponsor for this year’s Black & Gold Gala is Parx Casino®. Platinum sponsors include FS Investments and Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church. Event proceeds benefit the 50th Anniversary Promise Scholarship and other scholarships for College students. 

Each year, the Black & Gold Gala recognizes the outstanding service of individuals and organizations in the City of Philadelphia that demonstrate involvement in community growth in the areas of education, business, social services, and health. This year’s honorees include:  

  • Community Hero Award: Kenneth and Faatimah Gamble, co-founders, Universal Companies
  • Corporate Leadership Award: Michael Forman, chair and CEO, FS Investments
  • Alumni Achievement Award: Alfred T. Samura, MD, Cooper University Health Care 

While the 2022 Black & Gold Gala is sold out, individuals can learn more about this year’s honorees and how they can make a donation to support student scholarships online.
