PHILADELPHIA – Community College of Philadelphia has announced that it will host the final session of its Jr. STEM Academy’s Drones Camp at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 28 at the College’s Northwest Regional Center, 1300 Godfrey Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19141.

During the session, students in grades six to eight will demonstrate their mastery of drone piloting using in-sight piloting, which includes keeping the drone in the pilot’s visual line of sight at all times.

In addition to learning how to build and pilot a drone, participating students also took classes to advance their math and science skills, learned more about the scientific method and engineering design process, and designed viable furniture utilizing durable, environmentally friendly materials.
