Path to Wellness: Self-Care for Tension Headaches

About 90 percent of people will have a headache at some point in their life. Stress, poor sleep hygiene, dehydration and maladaptive body mechanics may all contribute to an increase in frequency or severity of symptoms. 

This wellness workshop introduces participants to the key components of a tension headache. Identify the difference between a tension and other types of headaches. Learn proper prevention strategies, and how to incorporate essential oils to support headache relief. Provide self-massage to relieve target muscles, reducing muscle pain and tension. Unravel the connection between body awareness, behavior, and pain relief. Establish the ongoing self-care techniques for mind and body wellness that support decrease in severity and frequency of headaches.
