Steps to Applying for Financial Aid

Step 1 - Complete the FAFSA

To apply for financial aid you must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) each academic year. Go to www.studentaid.gov > Apply for Aid > Complete the FAFSA Form to get started. You can complete the FAFSA online and sign it electronically with your FSA ID. If you forgot your username, you can retrieve it here. If you forgot your password, you can reset it here. Your FAFSA application is used to apply for the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Work Study, FSEOG, Federal Direct Loans and the PA State Grant. Additional steps may be required in order to receive the PA State Grant. The PA State Grant is administered by PHEAA. More information regarding the PA State Grant is found at www.pheaa.org.
