Prepare for one of the hottest jobs in America! Corporate Solutions and the World Instructor Training Schools (WITS) together offer a personal trainer national certification workshop at Community College of Philadelphia. This six-week intensive workshop provides in-class theory and hands-on practical training. Earn a Level 1 certification upon completion of the workshop and successfully passing the written, practical exams, and providing proof of current CPR certification.* Level 2 certification is achieved once you complete a 30-hour employer mentored internship.

Pharmacy Technician Training with Externship

Mondays and Thursdays, May 11 – June 22, 2020; 5:30 – 9 p.m. (and Monday and Thursday June 25 & 29, 5:30 - 9:30 p.m.)
Join the pharmacy team. This comprehensive workshop will prepare you to assist the pharmacist in filling prescriptions in a variety of settings, including hospital, community, home infusion and mail order pharmacies. Content will include learning all activities involved in preparing prescriptions, dose calculations, I.V. flow rates, and medication actions and reactions. Extensive review of basic mathematics for pharmacy use, plus reimbursement, billing and inventory control is included in the curriculum.

Externship Opportunity: Students who successfully complete the program are eligible to participate in an externship experience at a local Walgreens Pharmacy. (Prior to acceptance in the externship, you must complete a state criminal background check and federal criminal background check; if these reveal a prior criminal record, Walgreens will not to accept you to the externship experience.)

ServSafe Food Protection Manager One Day with Home Study
Northeast Regional Center
7 hours; Fee: $185 (Tuition: $117; Text: $68) | Monday, May 18, 2020| 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (½ hour lunch break)
This one-day workshop consists of eight hours of home study, followed by seven hours in the classroom and a one-hour exam. The workshop prepares individuals for successful completion of the ServSafe Certification Exam administered at the end. It teaches you which conditions enhance the growth of bacteria that cause food-borne illnesses, along with the safest way to receive, prepare, store, cook and serve food to your customers. Note: Students must register at least two weeks in advance to provide time for the required eight hours of home study for this workshop. In addition, students are required to pick up their textbook (Room 329) at least two weeks prior to the class.
