Store Owner Series

This series of FREE workshops provides valuable training for small businesses located in Philadelphia on topics that are practical and relevant for a business owner at any stage. We also provide opportunities for businesses to network with other small businesses in their local community.

We offer workshops at Community College of Philadelphia's three Regional Center locations in Northeast, Northwest and West Philadelphia, as well as at our Main Campus and in South Philadelphia. We also partner with local community organizations to bring select topics into the neighborhoods for added convenience. You have the option of choosing the location and training that are most convenient for you.

Please note: Power Up Your Business is currently operating remotely due to COVID-19. Store Owner Series’ Workshops and the Peer-Based Learning Experience program are currently held online.

Optimizing Use of Marketing Tools, Strategies and Resources

A promotional plan contains a detailed strategy for your business, brand and products/services. This session will focus on how to develop a budget, clear and measurable goals, and identify platforms for each target market. Participants can use this strategy to create a manageable, functional and workable promotional calendar for email and social media campaigns. Resources will be reviewed that allow for systematic choosing of promotional material to benefit customers, products/services and the brand.
