Tuesday September 1 | 4 p.m. (Rain date is September 2 at 4:30 p.m.)
Show your support of Enough is Enough by making a commitment to act. Join the College community in a Virtual Solidarity Walk in memory of George Floyd, who died in police custody in Minneapolis earlier this year.
Organized by the College’s Center for Male Engagement and the Black Studies program, we ask you to stand up, step outside and walk for 8 minutes and 46 seconds at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1, to commemorate George Floyd’s death.
Walk alone or socially distanced with family or friends, and don’t forget to wear your mask. We also invite you to encourage others to walk in their own communities as well.
Wear all black, or wear CCP or Black Lives Matter apparel. Create a sign—large or small—to let others in your community know why you are walking.
Share your commitment to act with us! Take a photo or video and share it by tagging @CCPedu on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook, using #EnoughisEnough.
Prefer not to walk? No problem, everyone can participate! Post a picture wearing your favorite CCP or BLM apparel and send us a message that represents your solidarity with the movement.
If you need Black Lives Matter apparel, support a Black-owned business and Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses alum, Harriett’s Bookshop.
Our next teach-in series event will be held in September. Details will be posted as soon as they are available. Video recordings of our previous teach-in panels are available online.
