Have you ever been arrested? Do you or someone you know have a criminal record? It may be possible to erase a criminal record through a process called expungement.*
The Fox Rothschild Center for Law and Society, along with Community Legal Services, is sponsoring a FREE Expungement Clinic at the College’s Northwest Regional Center at 1300 N. Godfrey Avenue, on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Attorneys and volunteers will be available, and you may be eligible to receive free legal help! Appointments are encouraged. For more information or to RSVP, please send an email to lawcenter@ccp.edu.
* Expungement may be possible for non-conviction charges (i.e., nolle prossed, not guilty, dismissed or withdrawn), summary convictions and special programs like ARD or Section 17 (records/charges are NOT automatically erased). Expungement is generally not possible for felony or misdemeanor charges that resulted in a conviction (i.e., guilty, guilty plea or nolo contender plea).
