To see the proudness on my mother's face was everything. I've got to meet wonderful people with words of encouragement, leadership, and perseverance. And many who beat the odds such as myself. It makes me emotional when I think back to when I first got the courage to apply for college. I was scared, I had low self-esteem, and no confidence in myself. I didn't think I was smart enough and wanted to give up many times. It don't matter how I started but how I finish. I'm a new person now and I'm very proud of my accomplishments.
