The College is currently operating remotely due to COVID-19. Courses for the Spring term will be held online while admissions, and student services and support are available remotely. You can take the first step now and apply online or email admissions at admissions@ccp.edu if you have questions. 

How to Attend our Upcoming Admission Zoom Events

For all events: You must register by the posted deadline to participate. Click on "RSVP Here" for the events you wish to attend. By the day of the event you will receive the login information. Make sure you have downloaded Zoom and updated to the most recent version and have your audio working properly on your computer, tablet, laptop or phone when you join the session. Adult Student Information Night

Join us to learn how you can start or finish your degree or certificate at Community College of Philadelphia. A college education can help you enter the workforce, qualify you for more job opportunities, enable you to change careers and lead to a bachelor’s degree. Learn about certificate and degree programs that prepare you for in-demand careers and further education, and how you can transfer previously earned college credits or earn credits for your experience.

In this “new reality” we are all facing right now, we will update you on the status of our Allied Health programs, including which programs have availability right now and when others will open back up.

Octavius Catto Scholarship – Supporting First Time Philadelphia Students

Join us for a Zoom presentation with Q&A on the Octavius Catto Scholarship. Octavius Valentine Catto was an American educator, intellectual, and civil rights activist in Philadelphia. Mayor Jim Kenney proposed an important new anti-poverty initiative designed to put more Philadelphians on the path to success at Community College of Philadelphia. The program, named the Octavius Catto Scholarship, aims to make the transformative power of education available to students by providing funding and additional supports. Fire Science – More than just Firefighting!

Calling all heroes! Join our Fire Science Program Manager, also a Deputy Fire Chief, Special Operations Commander, and CCP graduate, to learn more about CCP’s Fire Science program.  Fire Science at CCP will prepare you for a variety of careers in public safety that are in addition to firefighting such as: fire code enforcement, building inspector, fire protection technician and designee, fire prevention equipment sales representative or technical expert, fire safety official or risk manager for businesses, school districts, government agencies and more!  This fully online program is ideal for those in the fire science and emergency management fields or anyone who needs flexibility with schedules. This program also prepares students who are looking to continue their education; we have a dual admission bachelor’s degree program with Holy Family University.

Fashion Merchandising and Marketing – Bigger Than You Think

Everything we use today, your phone, your clothes, even your toothbrush, goes through the merchandising product cycle, which develops how it’s made, product aesthetics, packaging, logistics all the way to how and where it is ultimately sold. Join us for a conversation about the Fashion Merchandising and Marketing program at Community College of Philadelphia. We’ll cover core curriculum and career options in a variety of industries that can spring from this program such as: Retail Management and Buying, Fashion Product Promotion, Merchandising Technologies, Marketing, Fashion Promotion and Special Events, Social Media Marketing, Omni-channel Retail, and many more.  You must RSVP by the deadline to attend.  The Zoom link and meeting ID will be sent the day of the event.

Virtual Ask Admissions and Financial Aid Sessions

Join us for Ask Admissions and Financial Aid, a Zoom event designed for new students who have applied to a degree or certificate program and who have not enrolled in the College yet. Join us on Zoom for answers to your questions about how to get started, your next steps, financial aid, programs, services, and how to enroll. You will be able to speak briefly with an Admission Representative or Financial Aid Representative when you join the session.

You must register to participate; the evening prior to the event you will receive the login information. Make sure you have downloaded Zoom and have your audio working properly when you join the session. You will be in a waiting room before being connected to a breakout room for an individual session. Please be patient as there could be some wait time depending on volume. You can join or leave the session at any time within the posted time on your computer, tablet, laptop, or phone. A Spanish-speaking representative will be available.

New Student Registration Tutorial

For 10-week classes only (classes that begin on February 16, 2021)

This event is only for students who have never attended college before, have satisfied placement, have been accepted and received their educational plan from Advising and are ready to register. Hosted by college staff, they will share an instructional video to help you register yourself for your first set of classes at the college once you receive your educational plan.  Before you attend this event you will need to complete the New Student Advising Intake form and receive your educational plan. After you submit this form, an email will be sent to your MyCCP email account with your educational plan listing the courses you should register for based on your placement. Depending on volume it may take more than a week to receive this follow up.

Please Note: If you have general admission or financial aid questions you should register for an Ask Admissions & Financial Aid event as they will not be covered in this event.

Questions about the admission process or need help applying?  Please visit the Main Campus Welcome Center in the Pavilion Building, located on 17th Street between Spring Garden and Callowhill streets: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Weekly Information Tours

Tours will not be available until the College fully re-opens.

Main Campus Tours
Information tours are available at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on most Tuesdays at the Main Campus Welcome Center. Please check the current schedule and reserve your space. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are appreciated so we can notify you of any schedule changes. Your visit will include an information session with an admission representative and a general campus tour.

Regional Center Tours
Tours at our Northeast, Northwest and West Regional Centers are available by request (see contact information under the designated regional center below).

Group Tours
If you plan to bring more than four guests, please arrange a group tour by contacting the College recruiter assigned to your school or group. If you do not have an assigned recruiter, please contact Diane Kae. Please provide as much information as possible, including school/organization name and address, your name, title and phone number, number of people in the group, age or grade level, a brief description of the group, and desired dates and times. Our Admissions staff will contact you to arrange your group tour.
