Admission Events

The College is currently operating remotely due to COVID-19. Courses for the Summer term will be held online while admissions, and student services and support are available remotely. You can take the first step now and apply online or email admissions at admissions@ccp.edu if you have questions. 

How to Attend our Upcoming Admission Zoom Events

For all events: You must register by the posted deadline to participate. Click on "RSVP Here" for the events you wish to attend. By the day of the event you will receive the login information. Make sure you have downloaded Zoom and updated to the most recent version and have your audio working properly on your computer, tablet, laptop or phone when you join the session. If you have difficulty registering for an event, contact admissionevent@ccp.edu.

How to Apply to the College

In this brief Zoom we will walk you through the first step of enrollment to College, completing the application for admission.  Our screen shots and video clips will help you navigate how to create an application account, verify the account, and complete the actual application.  Q&A with admission staff will help to simplify this process for you.

Octavius Catto Scholarship — Supporting First Time Philadelphia Students

Join us for a Zoom presentation with Q&A on the Octavius Catto Scholarship. Octavius Valentine Catto was an American educator, intellectual, and civil rights activist in Philadelphia. Mayor Jim Kenney proposed an important new anti-poverty initiative designed to put more Philadelphians on the path to success at Community College of Philadelphia. The program, named the Octavius Catto Scholarship, aims to make the transformative power of education available to students by providing funding and additional supports. Allied Health Career Programs at Community College of Philadelphia

This event will cover our programs in Allied Health including: Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Diagnostic Medical Imaging, Medical Assistant, Respiratory Therapy and more.  We will showcase current and new programs on the horizon as well as a basic "how to" guide for the Allied Health Intake process.  We will also update you on the status of our Allied Health programs including which seats will be available and when.

Transferring Into and Out of CCP

Join us for a Zoom event designed for students who are interested in transferring to Community College of Philadelphia from another college or university.  We’ll also talk about our Transfer Dual Admissions Agreements with area colleges and universities when you’re ready to leave CCP to attend a four-year college. During the presentation you will be able to ask questions by typing them into the Q&A section of the Zoom.

Virtual Ask Admissions and Financial Aid Sessions

Join us for Ask Admissions and Financial Aid, a Zoom event designed for new students who have applied to a degree or certificate program and who have not enrolled in the College yet. Join us on Zoom for answers to your questions about how to get started, your next steps, financial aid, programs, services, and how to enroll. You will be able to speak briefly with an Admission Representative or Financial Aid Representative when you join the session.

You must register to participate; the evening prior to the event you will receive the login information. Make sure you have downloaded Zoom and have your audio working properly when you join the session. You will be in a waiting room before being connected to a breakout room for an individual session. Please be patient as there could be some wait time depending on volume. You can join or leave the session at any time within the posted time on your computer, tablet, laptop, or phone. A Spanish-speaking representative will be available.

Questions about the admission process or need help applying?  Please visit the Main Campus Welcome Center in the Pavilion Building, located on 17th Street between Spring Garden and Callowhill streets: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Welcome Center and all College offices are closed due to the pandemic. Please contact us at admissions@ccp.edu if you have questions.

Weekly Information Tours

Tours will not be available until the College fully re-opens fall 2021 at the earliest.  A virtual tour is not available at this time.  Please contact admissions@ccp.edu if you would like an online information session for your group.

Main Campus Tours
Information tours are available at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on most Tuesdays at the Main Campus Welcome Center. Please check the current schedule and reserve your space. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are appreciated so we can notify you of any schedule changes. Your visit will include an information session with an admission representative and a general campus tour.

Regional Center Tours
Tours at our Northeast, Northwest and West Regional Centers are available by request (see contact information under the designated regional center below).

Group Tours
If you plan to bring more than four guests, please arrange a group tour by contacting the College recruiter assigned to your school or group. If you do not have an assigned recruiter, please contact Diane Kae. Please provide as much information as possible, including school/organization name and address, your name, title and phone number, number of people in the group, age or grade level, a brief description of the group, and desired dates and times. Our Admissions staff will contact you to arrange your group tour.
