Alumni Spring Reception with New Graduates

The Class of 2023 graduates were invited to spend an evening celebrating their success and connecting with fellow alumni at a special reception in May hosted by the Alumni Association. Alumni enjoyed a beautiful evening with hors d’oeuvres and refreshments in the Absalom Jones Courtyard in the Library and Learning Commons on Main Campus. The 2022 Black & Gold Gala Alumni Achievement Award recipient, Dr. Alfred Samura, shared remarks, and the Community College of Philadelphia Foundation President, Dr. Ellyn Jo Waller, toasted the Class of 2023 and welcomed them to the Alumni Association. Giving Tuesday

The Foundation’s Giving Tuesday campaign at the end of November was once again a success, with the CCP Lions community giving generously during the holiday season to support students.

Behavioral Health and Human Services Celebration

Community College of Philadelphia’s Behavioral Health and Human Services program hosted a celebration recognizing soon-to-be and recent graduates in April. The event was attended by BHHS students, alumni and faculty, who enjoyed mingling with each other and listening to the alumni keynote speech by Deion Sumpter ‘14, director of Group Violence Intervention for the City of Philadelphia. The celebration was made possible by the support of retired professor Dr. Aram Terzian, who was recognized during the event for his leadership and generous contributions to the BHHS program.
