An Evening of Jazz - The Presidents and the Pastor

On September 22, 2023, Community College of Philadelphia hosted the inaugural performance of The Presidents and the Pastor, a fundraising event featuring Dr. Donald Guy Generals, president, Community College of Philadelphia; Dr. Ronald A. Matthews, president, Eastern University; Reverend Dr. Alyn E. Waller, senior pastor, Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church; and members of the CCP Music Department.

Absalom Jones Garden Dedication

On November 13, 2023, Community College of Philadelphia celebrated the naming and dedication of the Absalom Jones Courtyard in the Library and Learning Commons, made possible by the generosity of Craig Stock and Rosalie Phipps.

Leading Ladies: Empowering the Community Lunch and Panel Discussion

On March 28, 2024, around 60 guests attended Leading Ladies, a Women’s History Month panel discussion featuring CCP alum Sue Daugherty, CEO of MANNA; Kelly Sheard, director of the Gender Wealth Institute for Women’s Way; and Malika Rahman, assistant professor of Criminal Justice at CCP.

Alumni Reunion Dinner

On November 30, 2023, the CCP Alumni Association hosted the annual Alumni Reunion Dinner, bringing together more than 60 alumni from multiple decades to celebrate their shared experiences at the College.

Alumni Volunteer Day with MANNA

On April 22, 2024, the CCP Alumni Association marked National Volunteer Month with a volunteer shift at MANNA, where alumni prepared meals for neighbors battling serious illnesses. MANNA is led by CCP alumna Sue Daugherty, CEO and the 2024 Black & Gold Gala Alumni Achievement Award Honoree.

Alumni Spring Reception

On May 8, 2024, the Alumni Spring Reception welcomed more than 70 alumni and recent graduates from the Class of 2024 for an evening of connection and celebration.
