SUPPORT FROM PUBLIC GRANTS
Below is an overview of key public grant activity in the 2023–24 fiscal year:
KEYS – Students with Financial Need
The Keystone Education Yields Success (KEYS) program, supported with more than $600,000 from the Commonwealth, enables the College to assist Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participants in achieving their educational goals.
Aseptic Training – Congressionally Directed Spending/Community Project Funding
With $750,000 in funding, the Aseptic Technician program equips students with the technical skills and weekly stipends needed to excel as aseptic technicians or manufacturing associates in the growing cell and gene therapy industries.
Perkins Local Plan – Academic and Career/Technical Skills
The Pennsylvania Department of Education awarded more than $2.7 million for the Perkins Local Plan, designed to fully develop the academic and career/technical skills of both secondary and postsecondary students.
IDEAS – International Scholarship – U.S. Dept. of State
A $35,000 grant supports the College’s efforts to expand study abroad opportunities by integrating Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) into classrooms, broadening access to global education for more students.
It's On Us – Pennsylvania Department Of Education
Through $60,000 in funding, the College is strengthening its capacity to address and report sexual violence. These funds enhance collaboration between the College’s Women’s Center, Title IX Office and a newly established Conduct Coordinator, ensuring comprehensive support for survivors.
