CNC Precision Machining Technology

CNC Precision Machining Technology

Learn the core skills needed to become a CNC Precision Machining operator. Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery is used by CNC operators to cut and shape metal and plastic for various types of manufacturing. This hands-on program prepares you to sit for the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certification.

Two types of CNC Programs offered:

1. CNC Precision Machining Technology 625 Hour
Program Hours: 625 | Cost: $8,999
(Tuition: $8,699; Materials: $300)
Financial Aid Eligible | Earn 14 college credits

2. CNC Precision Machining Technology 210 Hour
Program Hours: 210 | Cost: $3,450
(Tuition: $3,150; Materials: $300)

Learn the core skills needed to become a CNC Precision Machining operator. Welder

Welding Technology

Learn welding fundamentals that prepare you for entry-level employment in this comprehensive training program. Course content meets the welding standards established by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) that seeks to develop a safe, productive workforce by using a standardized training and credentialing program industry wide.

Welding Program offered:

Welding 300 Hour
Program Hours: 300 | Cost: $6,000 (Tuition: $5,700; Materials: $300)

You will learn welding fundamentals that prepare you for entry–level employment in this comprehensive training program that covers:

  • Welding safety
  • Drawing and welding symbol interpretation
  • Stick, TIG and MIG welding
  • Thermal, manual air carbon arc and oxy-fuel gas cutting
  • Welding inspection and quality

Electro-Mechanical Technology

Electro-Mechanical Technology (Industrial Maintenance)

Prepare for an entry-level job with manufacturers that use automation. Job opportunities include robot installation and maintenance, automation equipment installation, troubleshooting and maintenance and Programmable Logic Controller programming. You will learn to install, maintain and repair the mechanical controls, fluid power systems, and electrical and electronic equipment found in various industries.

Program Hours: 399 | Cost: $5,375 (Tuition: $4,775, Material: $600)
Scholarship Eligible | Earn up to 6 college credits

Prepare for an entry-level job with manufacturers that use automation. Job opportunities include robot installation and maintenance, automation equipment installation, troubleshooting and maintenance and Programmable Logic Controller programming. Upon completion of your training, be prepared to take the foundational skills testing: Festo Industry 4.0 Level One Fundamentals Certification. Note: The cost for certification is not included in the training.

Gas Distribution Pipeline Mechanic

Gas Distribution Pipeline Mechanic

This hands-on program prepares students for entry-level employment in the natural gas industry. Students will learn how to perform tasks needed to install and maintain pipelines for natural gas distribution systems, which provide natural gas service to residential, commercial and industrial customers.

Program Hours: 186 (132 classroom; 54 operator qualification training)| Cost: $5,189
This hands-on program prepares students for entry-level employment in the natural gas industry. Students will learn how to perform tasks needed to install and maintain pipelines for natural gas distribution systems, which provide natural gas service to residential, commercial and industrial customers.

The curriculum for this program was developed through a coordinated effort led by the Consortium and PECO, and was supported by Philadelphia Gas Works, Henkels & McCoy and Utility Line Services.

You will learn the fundamentals that prepare you for entry–level employment in this comprehensive training program that covers:

  • Workplace Success / Construction and Skill Trades (CAST) Preparation
  • Technical Skills and Safety
  • First Aid Safety
  • Operator Qualification Tasks
  • CDL Permit

Note: Cost includes testing, CPR certification, OSHA card and materials. The cost does not include CDL permit.

Certified Production Technician

The Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) Certified Production Technician (CPT) program is a nationally portable, industry-led program that prepares and certifies individuals for career pathways in advanced manufacturing. This training is designed to provide you with the core competencies of front-line manufacturing production workers. Gain access to the in-demand skills that today’s employers need for more than 6 million frontline production jobs.

Program Hours: 120 | Cost: $1,499
The Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) is the nation’s leading industry-led training, assessment and certification organization focused on the core technical competencies needed by the nation’s front-line production and material handling technicians.
