Power Up Your Business is a FREE, community-based training program to support small business owners in Philadelphia—like you—with the tools you need to grow your business and help your community thrive.
This innovative program is designed for businesses across Philadelphia. We're bring entrepreneurs and business owners together to learn from one another, as we provide the education and training to help you adapt to challenges and run your business efficiently.
Power Up Your Business program is free to all participating businesses. The College offers three distinct programs. You can participate in our individual workshops through our Store Owner Series or join one of our Industry Best Practice Series programs. Store Owner Series
This series of FREE workshops provides valuable training for small businesses located in Philadelphia on topics that are practical and relevant for a business owner at any stage. We also provide opportunities for businesses to network with other small businesses in their local community.
Peer-Based Learning Experience
Through this 12 week, 36-hour program, you will gain practical skills that you can immediately put into action and learn how to create a business improvement plan to help grow your business. Learn the foundations of small business management and other tools needed to run a successful small business.
Industry Best Practices Series
These courses target the unique needs of specific industries to strengthen resiliency and foster growth. Industry experts will lead a deep dive into topics such as regulations, laws and customer bases, as well as differentiating essentials of broader topics. Each series, offered to small businesses for free, are comprised of 2-hour workshops designed to help you establish improving industry-specific best practices. These series will support businesses in the restaurant, e-commerce, manufacturing, child care and hair industries, as well as others.
