About our High School Equivalency Test Prep Classes

The College offers high school equivalency preparation classes to help you prepare for the HiSET and/or GED® exams. HiSET is a trademark of Educational Testing Service (ETS). GED is a trademark of GED Testing Service.

Course fee: $80, plus the cost of textbooks (about $33)

How to register:

  • The next semester for new students is fall 2024. Classes begin September 3. Click here to sign up for the interest list and receive updates about registration.
  • Payment is due after registration is complete. You will receive a welcome email with payment instructions. Payment can be made online or in person at the Student Tuition Office on Main Campus. Classes may be canceled due to low enrollment. Refunds will be granted only if the class is canceled or the student withdraws before the first class meeting. To withdraw, please email Adultliteracy [at] ccp.edu (Adultliteracy[at]ccp[dot]edu).
  • Students must be 18 or older.

Online: Online classes are synchronous on Zoom (the instructor and students meet online at the same time).

In-person students must have a Community College of Philadelphia Photo ID card before the start of class. After you complete the registration, get your Photo ID card at the Main Campus Security Office in the Mint Building, Room MG-12, before the first day of class.
