This series of FREE workshops provides valuable training for small businesses located in Philadelphia on topics that are practical and relevant for a business owner at any stage. We also provide opportunities for businesses to network with other small businesses in their local community.

We offer workshops at Community College of Philadelphia's Regional Center locations in Northeast and West Philadelphia, as well as at our Main Campus. We also partner with local community organizations to bring select topics into the neighborhoods for added convenience. You have the option of choosing the location and training that are most convenient for you.

Logo Design for Small Business

The logo of your brand is important to connect with your audience. Your logo is the visual symbol that communicates the brand’s identity, value, and personality. A good logo is unique, relevant, simple, memorable, and timeless. In this workshop, business owners will evaluate their brand guide and focus on the design of the logo. Participants will understand how to use typography, color, scale, symbols, and graphic design in the storytelling of their brand. This workshop is best for business owners/entrepreneurs that want to learn how to design a logo. If you already have a logo, this workshop will help assess your design and understand how to move forward. If you don’t already have a logo, this workshop will allow you to learn the process of creating an impactful logo design.

Understand Philadelphia Business City Taxes

This workshop is a deep dive into Philadelphia Business taxes. The Revenue Department will provide examples explaining the major business taxes, and information on what needs to be done to comply with City regulations. Information will also be provided on who and how to contact the Revenue Department if you have specific questions about doing business in Philadelphia. All City Business Taxes will be covered in this 2 hour workshop.
